Defrost Vent Removal
I'm working on an '86 Carrera project and I'm trying to get out the single piece defrost vent to clean/paint it. This is the one up under the windshield. Is there some trick to this? I've read the manual and done some searches on here, but all I find is people saying to remove the top retaining screws and pull it out. Mine just does not want to budge though and I don't want to break it. Is there anything I need to do from inside the front trunk?

It's only held on by the screws. There shouldn't be any resistance pulling it out. Are you sure you got all the screws?

Yup, got all of the screws... I will keep pulling on it and try to determine where it is hanging up.
