The Porsche Gods Have Smiled On Me!

So I'm on vacation this week and am spending quality time with my family and 911. Unfortunately the weather stinks today (cold and rainy) which prevents any fun in the 911 and I've already changed my tranny fluid earlier this week so today was family day.

Off we go in the minivan to do some shopping but coincidentally across from one of our stops is a toy liquidator. Well what do you know, but they have a BRAND NEW Scalextric Porsche GT Super Cup set for $40.00. I almost passed out b/c this set normally goes for $180.00 so there was no decision but to buy it.

This being my first Scalextric set I must confess I am already hooked. The detail on the two 911's is unbelievable (for you race fans out there one car is the Red Bull and the other is the Paragon) and I already decided I need to add a 917 and 908 to the collection.

Up to now I have always been an AFX HO scale fan (currently have 125+ cars and 75 feet of track laid out) but these 1:32 cars will now be taking priority.

Of course this is just one more sign of my Porsche addiction !

BTW, my son loves this set (vs. AFX) b/c it is easier for him to see the cars on the track.
