Calling ALL Melbourne Aussie Posters!!!
G'Day SmileWavy
I just want to get some idea of the # of Melbournian posters on this Forum. Please list your name, type of 911, location and alarm's RF specifications (joke). I have a triple black '89 Carrera Cab SuperSport and live around the Sth Eastern Suburbs. I know of two others by the name of Stuart Jack and Victor Coppa. Anyone else? Don't be shy :D |
Hi
There are a few of us skulking around the forum. Work in the city, live in Elwood. Time for Matt and Adam to chime in... Cheers |
Hi Merv.
I've been lurking around here for years. Victor '89 3.2 |
WydRyd,
I live in Doncaster, work in Heidelberg. My car is a 1976 911S in Talbot yellow. Check out these pics from our last Pelican members drive day. If you've got the time, you're more than welcome along on the next one. There are actually quite a few Melbourne-based members. |
WydWyd,
I live and work in Mont Albert. My car is a 1974 911 Carrera 2.7 (MFI). The engine and transmission were completely rebuilt 5,000kms ago, and the car goes on the dyno tomorrow (finally!) for a proper tune-up. My mechanic, John Gregory of Spyder Automobiles fame (also Paul's mechanic), thinks that 260-270bhp is what the engine should be developing after we modify the stacks and the exhaust -- I guess we'll know for sure tomorrow! Here are some snaps from that Melbourne-based Pelicaner convoy. My car is the beige one, and that gorgeous red 911 belongs to Paul. Hey, what's a SuperSport? Glad to meet you guys online. I'd love to attend the next weekend cruise. Just let me know when.
Victor & Stuart invited me to the last one, but I was P-less at the time (car was in the workshop). A SuperSport is a factory optioned Turbo-look Carrera with the 930 body/brakes/suspension. The only thing the SuperSport did NOT have was the Turbo's Tie Rods. Another cost cutting exercise courtesy of Porsche. Here is a URL that describes the SuperSport Option FYI... http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/philnaylor/911SSE.htm BTW, awesome looking Porsches there guys. Looking forward to seeing them and meeting you guys in person soon. |
WOW! Just did an Option Decode on my car and I get the following:

Just an FYI, FWIW :) |
