Oh No! Key Can't Open The Door

Need some advice on this one before I tear something up.
When I put my key in the door lock and turn it, it no longer raises or lowers the door lock button. It just rotates freely.

Does this mean my entire handle has to be tossed or is there some mechanism inside that can be replaced, adjusted, or fixed? The handle still opens the door when compressed so that functions.

The door lock button lifted or lowered manually still locks and unlocks the door, so I know at least thats functioning. Help!!

Thanks

Bob

the screw that holds the locking "lever" to the end of the tumbler has backed out and the lever is loose. remove the handle to fix.

What John said. Same thing happened to me right after I bought my SC.

Sunroof...as long as your going in there you may want to consider the window regulator up-grade. maybe $25

My key will UNLOCK the door... but will not LOCK it. It is kinda embarrassing that I have to come around to the passenger side and crawl in to lock the door and then lock the passenger door from the outside. Any suggestions? Thanks, Brian
