Strange Wiper Motor connections

I just got a very nice, clean (apparently functioning) wiper motor and assembly from a fellow Pelicanite. What's odd is I can't place it's year from the threads I've read, and I seem to be missing a connection. Its got a square connector like the bulk Ive seen but no connection in the middle (the green wire?) It's not a line of connections like the early motors.

So what's that green wire for?

I hooked it up [otherwise] yesterday, I end up have 2 speeds forward, the 3rd indent does nothing, and they won't park. Something on the linkage seems to be very slightly bumping somewhere also.

My car is a '75. I was hoping for a few tips before I head back in the garage later, on what to look for.

Did your car originaly have intermittant wipers? Is the wiper motor from an 85? Original wiper switch?

I will never assert any part now existing on my car is how it came originally

This is my wiper stalk (has 3 detents or pull forward (washers I assume) washer system is non-existant.

And my current (new to me) wiper assembly (not sure what year it came out of)

The one in my '73 looks quite different. No green wire, but a later model like the '85 I have in the wiring diagram uses one. The second diagram is from '75.
You don't seem to have intermittant wipers. I don't have time to look into now. Maybe someone who has done a similar switch with a newer motor and older wiper switch will help. I will check into it when I have more time.
