Delivery of Parts from Pelican Parts

So, like most of the guys on this list, I work on my car myself, when I can. And, I've been doing this for 30 years and have used all sorts of parts suppliers - for Porsches and other marques.

One of the most frustrating things I've ever had to deal with is when I figure I need a part for the car and want it by the weekend, and the part takes over a week to get to me - and I miss another weekend to get the car fixed. The WORST ever on this was Stoddards. Sorry Stoddards, it's true - though I just ordered a part from NLA, now owned by Stoddards, and the part got to me a little sooner than before.

Which brings me to Pelican. Geeze, I've NEVER had FASTER turnaround. It's like they have a pizza delivery guy who grabs my order as soon as it's ready.

And, I have to admit that when the "upstart" Pelican showed up on the street, I was a diehard Performance Products customer, with personal friends at the SFV office. Those were the days that Pelican got many of its parts from Performance! How times have changed.

Anyway, THANK YOU Pelican.

I have noticed that myself. Really fast service, I ordered a small sunroof part on a Friday, got it on Monday ! regular mail ! I live in north Louisiana. Next thing you know, you order a part on Monday, the next day Wayne shows up in his 962 wearing his Pelican coveralls caring a wrench
and wanting to know where you want the part installed.
Gotta love 'um

In this day and age of drop shipping....off -shore companies...and call centers that can hardly be understood...plus others that add up orders before filling requests, Wayne and company stand out as the good guys.
Back in the "old days" your company would go broke in a month if you treated customers in the normally accepted procedures we put up with today.
How times and expectations have changed.
Well done Wayne.

Parts is parts. Wayne knows it is all about service. One of the few places in this country where that matters. Three cheers for Wayne!!

Ditto to all of the above. I've only had one order that took about 10 days for delivery. Usually get stuff in about 3-4 but sometimes in 2 days. Had one return (I ordered the wrong part) and there was no hassle, my account was credited in very short order. Parts have always been excellant quality. They almost pester you with updates as to the status of your order. If 914Rubber (Mark) have the part that I need I go to Pelican.

I have been ordering my parts from pelican the last 6 months or so for my rebuild.
There is nothing like pelican here in Australia so it is a pleasure to be spoilt for choice on parts.
Their customer service is great and questions answered very promptly.
Packaging is always spot on and I usually get my order after about a week which is pretty good considering they have to travel so far.
Pelican definately have my support.

Also being in SoCal, I've ordered parts on a Sunday/Monday and had them on Tuesday. I tend to take UPS because the USPS won't leave the package if it won't fit in the mailbox, and I have to wait a day or two to go to the Post Office to pick it up. I live in a small gated community, so I'm not worried about UPS leaving it at my doorstep.

I recently ordered some parts which: arrived ahead of time, arrived undamaged and were the right thing. The customer service we'd all like to see, but sadly, unheard of in this day and age. A little while later, I received a request to complete a survey from Pelican. Since I was pretty darn satisfied, I completed the survey. Then, to cap it all off, I got an email form Denise thanking me for completing the survey and for my order. These people are off the hook! Congratulations Wayne for setting a new standard.

So far I have been having a little trouble placing my first order. Apperantly it is too much for a first international order and they wont accept credit card payment but instead require wire transfer to deter fraud. This makes sense I guess but is a little bit of a hassle. Their customer service is excellent so far helping me through this, but it is taking a few days to sort out. I'm sure my next transaction will be a breeze once they allow me to pay by credit card...
