Exclamation Real Mean Garage, any one had work done by them?

Looking at places for my 66 911 to get worked on. Anyone used them in Sunnyvale? What was your impression? Prices?
I live in the central valley california, looking for a good shop with good prices. Any help would be appreciated.
thank you

You could not get a better shop anywhere for any vehicle, that's how I feel about them.
Example. My first visit there, they sold me parts from their stock, ordered me a new axle, delivered next day, and then let me pick up the parts and not pay them until the following week because I was still waiting on a washer to come in. Next visit, he notices that my fuel line is getting old and said when I was ready, he would help me get parts and walk me through it if I needed help etc.
Last example, they came in on their day off at Christmas to help me out when my fuel pump broke!

Bottom line, they are top notch. Get in touch with them and you will not be let down. There are other good garages around here as well, but I have only dealt with RMG.

bob and the dans are the best bunch of guys ive delt with in porsche or any garage. i would never flat out recommend a wrench to anyone, i would only recommend you go in and talk/interview the prospective shop. eveyone ive sent to bob has signed on and have never heard complaint one, in fact just the opposite.

i work on my own car more often than not, but bob's wrath of me doing things half assed, or with the wrong tool has changed the way i work on my car entirely.

go talk to bob (they are closed on fridays) and i am pretty sure you will find what i've and many other pelicans have. call his shop after hours, you will notice he gives an after hours emergency phone number should you need to get him. ive never run accross that.

oh yeah, real mean garage is kinda tongue in cheek. its reall called RMG Enterprises. rmg are bobs initials. robert m. grigsby

they best thing about the place? there is a titty bar next door to ease any wait you may encounter.

Highest recommendations from me as well! I trust them 100%.

They are very detail-oriented, so be prepared for a long "laundry list" if you ask them to do an inspection of your car. If I ever look to buy another Porsche, this is the garage I'd take the prospects to for a PPI.

Oh, and they're not open on Fridays...

Another Bob Supporter! He's the best! PO took the car there, made me promise to take the car there as a condition of sale.

Best thing I did was keep that promise!

We do need to create a bumper sticker

Over ten years and 100K miles I think I've paid for a few toys of his!

Bob and the Dans are great! I've been a customer for two years and have been completely satisfied with their service. They're a first rate shop.

Bob is at the top of my list of stand-up guys in the Porsche community. Nice to see an old thread like this pop up. Paul Guard
