Factory Hardtop Project Complete

2 months in the transport issue from London"
and here it is " not much of a chore but time consuming the fitting was better than I hoped for" and the Glasso Guards Red was closer than I thought as well.

I still have some inside cleaning to do but you get the picture.

And a big thank you to my beloved Merita who was my only helper lifting this thing on and off a dozen times. She was the Rock Star of this project""
Thanks Baby

Look great. Are you (can you) switch back and forth?

AVDCAV 10-22-2011 01:27 PM

Thanks.

It would take me less than an hour to switch
It's very simple.

Joe Bob 10-22-2011 01:28 PM

i dont typically care for slant nose cars but yours looks great

nesslar 10-22-2011 03:28 PM

Looks great indeed, no matter what anybody says. Be proud of it; very cool. +++++
Maybe just get those wheels out towards the lips a bit more to fill out the wheel wells... :)

Bob Kontak 10-22-2011 04:38 PM

I was listening to music and just surfing posts and checking the pics of your slant nose. It was not until the eighth picture that I finally noticed the sealing bead and thought "Why does that look a little different?". It did not register that it was a hard top. Just that some of the trim looked a little different.

That is an awesome set up.

Beautiful piece on the car !! +1 on the rag top but love the coupe look !!

kidrock 10-22-2011 05:14 PM

wow....just wow. Great look. Wish I could score one of those.

N11Porsche 10-22-2011 06:00 PM

Great-looking p-car!! Very well done conversion.

Gustyones 10-22-2011 07:47 PM

That looks great! Nicely done too.

MrShades 11-23-2011 08:37 AM

Looking almost just like a coupe with the top on so great job

How do you attach/lock the top in place front and rear?

t951 11-23-2011 09:27 AM

Please, please, please tell me that you are over the learning curve and are going to be making these!! (Affordably of course!).

I have an 83 Cab that I wish had a hardtop...

If not, do you have plans or instructions on how to do this? About how much $ did it cost to produce?

Reifle 11-23-2011 12:19 PM

Looks great - the line at the rear quarters makes looks even better! I like the break.

Scott Douglas 11-23-2011 02:04 PM

That looks really nice. I'm not even gonna ask if it comes with a sunroof option. Every rag top should have an optional hardtop IMHO. Makes the car a lot more useable during the inclement weather times.
Could I make one suggestion RE: the wheels?
Get yourself some black painted center caps that have the logo painted correctly. I think you'll like how the car just POPS with a set of those on. I have an old picture of my car (which has color matched wheels) with same color center caps and there's no comparison IMO.

Great looking set up! Agree that you could fill up those arches to really complete the whole look.
Nice job!!!
