Anyone know the grp # or the dimensions of the two 12v batteries in the 70-911E?
or a good place to buy them? thanks |

do a search here, lots of good options, interstate U911's, Miata gel-mat batteries or sonnenschein, depends on your budget, your desire to keep things stock, and the amount of hatred you have for battery acid-induced rust on the suspension pan

thank you, I was told U911 batteries might fit but they didnt want to sell or ship without assurance they would fit and the posts be correct.. I assume these are the vented top cap style?

For what it's worth, I switched to Miata AGM batteries a few years back and it's worked out great. I had to make some mods to make them stay put in the box and fashion an insulator to keep the posts from contacting the top of the box. I had two sets of batteries go bad over winter and that was getting old, so I made the switch. They hold charge all winter long and better yet, I'm not burning through cash.

bought my batteries at a porsche dealership and they were reasonably priced.
I also have a 70 911e and I use both batteries, and they both say porsche on them. |

If you value your suspension pan switch to AGM type and don't go back to liquid acid.
