Interior redo
I have been thinking about gutting my interior and starting fresh. Its old with vinyl seats that are beat. I was thinking all black. I want Recaro seats, black carpets and rs door panels. My question is this, does anyone offer complete carpet sets or even better complete interior packages? I am open to suggestions. Please help me figure out my best options!

There have been quite a few posts on RS door panels and carpets (as well as a good tech article), and it appears fairly easy (and inexpensive) to make your own. I'm seriously considering both, since my big ol' size 15s keep hitting that damn map pocket, and the carpet looks tired now that I've got new black floormats with the Porsche logo. I'm thinking new black carpet with red piping and black panels with red door pulls. Pelican sells everything but the template for the RS panels, I think.

Big make the panels yourself way cheaper and easy too. Quite a few of us have done it. Even if your not 100% happy the first time you could make a second set and still be WAY ahead of the game. Most of the guys who have purchased the "complete" door panels were not pleased with them.
As for the carpet kit, Mikko in Finland is making his own from templates that I sent of mine, but you can but the complete kit for a few hunderd. Then there is the debate over domestic or German. The seats go to Pelican!, or recover your own. Shawn

I just bought a new digital camera over the weekend (so I don't have to rely on work's).
I'm currently writing a little article on making your own carpets, and now I can take some decent photos. Give me a little time ![]()
