Mid year fuel tank lines....can you ID them for me?

I searched, and I could not find what I am looking for. Can someone identify which line is which on on the bottom/back of the fuel tank from the mid-year on cars? I have, what I believe to be a 1977 tank I am swapping into my 69'. There is a large (9mm?) line and a (5mm?) line on the bottom I believe? I see some people put the fuel pump near the steering rack to push fuel rather than suck. Is this necessary? I am running fuel to a mediocre 2.7. Grazie!

				 | Heres a diagram a fellow Pelican posted a while back. Perhaps this will help..... I believe this is for a Mid-year CIS vehicle. Screen/drain plug is on the bottom center, The supply from the tank to the pump is the large slip-on 11mm hose w clamp on the left. The threaded fitting on the right is the return to the tank, probably M14x1.5 though later years used M16x1.5 I think. Absolutely a good idea to move the pump up front for many reasons. I can help with Metric fittings & new multi-fuel Metric hose if needed. Len at Autosportengineering dot com Last edited by BoxsterGT; 03-21-2012 at 10:15 AM.. | ||
