How to adjust window frame on '74 Coupe

I have a '74 Coupe and the passenger door is hard to shut. The door itself is in perfect alignment but the chrome window frame rubs against the back window frame when shutting the door. Once closed, the door looks fine but I think the window frame needs to be adjusted slightly towards the front of the car and only at the top.

The car had a thorough paint job in 2000 with all the trim (including windows) removed and I think a small adjustment is all that is needed.

I see two plugs at the top of the door and I'm assuming those cover frame adjustments but I wanted to check with the Pelican group before I make things worse.

Thanks in advance......Vern

Vern,

You will need to take off your door panel to get to the rest of the mounting points, I think there's eight of them in total.

There is a specific sequence set out in the work shop manual, but I don't have it in front of me. I can scan it tonight for you if you need it?

I do take it that all your door gaps are good? Before you get started check to make sure, because if not I would be looking at the door hinges.

Thank you and yes, I would love to have a scan of the directions from the manual. Take your time, I won't need this immediately.

The door gaps look fine and identical to the driver side. But, when you close the door, you can see the window frame barely touching the rear piece. This makes it required to slightly slam the door - which I hate.

Thanks.....Vern
