3.0 to 3.2L
Looking at a 3.0 that was bumped to 3.2L. Not interested in a modified case. I was told the crank is original. Could larger cylinders been fitted w/o boring the case?

Yes..do a search on a 3.2 SS (Short Stroke) on here...Bottom end (block, crank, rods) are stock 3.0 L size but the cylinders and pistons are 98 MM (as Opposed to stock 95 MM) giving the 3.2 L on a 3.0 L case.. 3.0 L rods and 3.2 L 84- 89 Carrera rods have different side rod ends and thus are different.. many on here have done this upgrade and I am thinking about it also..make sure to check all paper work for work done on engine in the conversion.. check the Engine Rebuilding thread also..
Enjoy, Gregg S.

Yes, it's very simple and a very inexpensive upgrade during a rebuild.
