Question The @#"<& knob is stuck!

I'm try to get the door panel off my '77 S to fix the door lock and I can't get that knob off the door lock. I tried liquid wrench and a "harness thingy" that I could pull. It broke.

Any suggestions???

Thanks

Which one do you have ?

Pull up type on the top rail ?
Or dial type on the door panel ?

'77 would have both knobs, (plunger on top and turn-type on door), top one unscrews and knob on door is screwed-on. There is a removable cap on center, (have to look close at it), pop that off and screw is underneath.

I hope I am not too late. But when you pop the cover off use a SMALL screwdriver (eyeglass type) and be gentle. Otherwise you will wreck it and need to buy new ones.
