Be careful with the rental car fun, guys. Recently read a news item. One of the car rental companies has installed GPS units in their cars. Gives a read out of route choices, and speed. If readout says speed, a "fine" added to the rental bill. No cops, no court, no appeal, since they already have your credit card number. 1984 was some time ago, and big brother is well entrenched.

PWD: Check out ABCNews.com for the followup on that rental car GPS suit. A guy was fined 3 times by his rental company (who used GPS to measure his speed) for like $200 and took them to court. He won. That was a precedent-setting case, so you can kiss that crap goodbye.

Mark...that is good news. Amazing that a court today would respect individual rights, eh? Great victory, indeed!

I guess that would be tough wouldn't it.
![]() Look mom, no hands ![]() I thought maybe a passenger was taking the pics, is it hard to drive with one hand at 180MPH, ? 931s only go to about 140MPH max. ![]() ------------------ why does that car have two pedals? how does it work? |
