high n lowbeam switch

I'm having a problem with my 83 2d switch the high beam turns on by it self wen driving at night ,turn signals are good is the switch the problem or can it be something ells, i hate to by another one and if it happens again,can the switch be fix ,what do you pelicans recommend , fiftyninevwcab@comcast.net thanks for the help,joe
