Cincinnati Area Fun Run October 22nd
Calling all Cincinnati area Pelicans ... anyone up for a Fun Run on Saturday October 22nd ????
Dave 911 and I have been out scouting roads up north of Kings Island for awhile now and have come up with a great route so we thought we'd open it up and see if anyone is interested in joining us. We'll start at a convenient spot off RT71, do about an hour and then take a break for some bench racing and bs'ing. We'll then do another hour on different roads and wind up back at the starting point. For anyone that can only do the first section you'll be able to peel off at the break and quickly get back to 71. We already know of 2 or 3 non-Pelican members [yes, our job will be to convert them so they promise to join the board by the end of the run ] who will be joining us with their 911's but hopefully there are some local Pelicans who can also make it as well.We plan on meeting at 8am and then hitting the road shortly thereafter so we can avoid any weekend traffic ... although some of the roads we will be on probably only see a couple of cars in an entire day Please respond to this thread if you are interested and I'll PM you more details. Here are some incentive pictures from this past weekend ... hope to see you on the 22nd ! ![]()

Tentative...depends on what I'm supposed to be doing with the parents in law. Still waiting for the plans to firm up. Let me know what gets worked out.

Doug E knows how to put together some great fun runs. His fun run series, when he still lived in NoVA, was not to be missed!

PM's have been sent to those who have already responded so please check your inbox. Looking forward to meeting everyone !
Jim - good to hear from you and thanks for the endorsement. Seems like it was just yesterday when the original NoVa crew was wrenching and driving together. I've been telling my OH friends about our initial runs and that's what got me re-energized to do it all again

By the way can we extend the run a little further, the more seat time the better. Just sayin I can't spend enough time behind the wheel on some great roads. Just an idea to think about....Ben

Here's one more shot from 'somewhere along the route'....
![]() Ben - I hear ya, it would be pretty easy to redo part of the route in the opposite direction if folks wanted to add more at the end. Looking forward to next weekend

Add us as tentative, as long as modern middie waterpumpers can join.
You can also reach us at doug_n_julie at msn dot com.

That's practically my back yard! So I would say count me in....my daughter's 4th birthday is that day at 4 pm....and I know I have things to do around the house to prepare for that party...not to mention my alternator and fan is off the motor. Please send details and I will work my rear off to go. Sounds like a ton of fun. Great idea...thanks for getting this together. Maybe Hayden and I will go.

PM's have been to sent the latest group who expressed interest so please check your in-box.
Based on the responses so far we could have quite a turnout ... I didn't realize there were so many Pelicans in the area ![]() Just another teaser as incentive: there are only 2 traffic lights on the entire route and they are at the very end
