87 Cabrio Top - Electric's Problem
Hey Guys,
I have got a problem with my electric top - It is in the open position (down) and will not close. All was OK until a new radio was installed! I have tested all circuits, controller relays, micro switches, buzzed out all wiring. Have power to both feeds on controller. All seems OK, carried out all tests as per "Porsche Test Plan Info Book" A Mate of mine has checked out Circuuit Board on Controller. All OK. The only thing I can think of, is that there is some sort of "Reset Function" to restore settings! If any one has any ideas, please feel free to part your knowledge? I have spent over 60 Hrs trying to fix / find problem! Getting ready to smash it!! Cheers |

parking brake on? functioning?
sometimes you can trip one or the other micro switch and it'll start to work.....if maybe the battery died on them or something......

If the ignition key is in and turned to the proper position, and the parking brake is set, then I agree that the white microswitches on the right side transmission arm are the likely culprit.
