anyone in NYC or Jersey can look at a car for me?
If any member in NYC or close in Jersey has time to look at a car for me, I would be extremely grateful and take you out to dinner in the city when I get there. It's not another Porsche, but rather a MB wagon that I got on e-bay but have not paid for yet. I have a little time to pay, would be so happy to have a trusty Pelicanhead check it for me. It is in Jersey right across from Manhattan; I have friends in city but not car knowledgable enough to know what to look for. This is worth a try, let me know. TIA.

Denis : I would be happy to look at the car for you. I live in Manhattan near the tunnel, and german cars have been my passion since autocrossing my first Porsche in 1988. I own a compression test gauge, and travel with a jack and jackstands in my 911SC. What type of M-B is it?
I plan to soon buy a turbo diesel Benz S class from the 1980s for my fiance (and maybe as an interim tow vehicle for my lightweight single axle trailer and early light Pcar . . .), so this would prob. be educational for me as well.
