Window frame fitment
 

Can you replace the door window frames from a 911 with those from either a 964 or 993?

I am looking to pull my current shiny aluminum trim and was contemplating either powder coating them black or replacing them.

Engineer of our Porsche shop tried to replace a front window of 930 to 964. But the size of the window of 964 is slightly big from 930 he say. Now I am converting 964 to 73 RSR 2.8, so I must change to the window with aluminum trim. So it will be cut the glass of 964's or if I use 911 window with aluminum trim must use a any spacer to fit they say. Not know whether this is true.

You don't have to go to 964. The carrera and I think most SC window frames are black and are a direct replacement. I have a 75 with the bright look and am going to do the same thing you are.
I'm not sure about 964 fitment.
