Dumb question for the day
<Dumb On>
Here it goes... I have come into 'possession' of a complete 993 suspension system (front, rears, sway bars, Eibach springs). Do you if anyone (VIC, others) make adaptors so I can use it in my 73?? or what other options I may have.. </Dumb Off> Thanks |
Now I'm no expert - but I vividly recall the 993 being touted as having a revolutionary new suspension design. Lightweight yet strong and unlike any 911 that had come before, a significan tleap forward from even the 964 suspension design. I remember seeing a drawing or two of the elegant aluminum subframe.......
I kinda doubt you'd make it fit in an old car without some major re-configuring of the chassis.... An alternative would be to come into "possession" of a coil over kit for the early 911's I've seen these installed, and they don't look particularily complex. my $0.02 |
you are looking at $2500 -3000 to install the 993 rear suspension in your chassis. MAjor rework is needed

Thanks for the replies.. I'm aware of the 'major surgery' requiered to install 993 suspension (but someone in Northen Europe did it!).. I was looking for an easier solution... looks like none is available...
Anybody interested in some new anchor weights for the boat!! Thanks again. |
just to throw this out there..if youre willing to let it go for a reasonable price, i'd like to give it a try...im always up for new challenges!
(reasonable meaning enough for me to justify trying it!) shoot me an email! |
