Hey - look what I found. Random disconnected brake line sensors
 

Sweet, eh? I have two wires running down there, both currently disconnected.

I am assuming I should not have dangling wires here, but I only see one connection and both appear to be brown ground wires.

Those would be your brake light switch wires ...
Do you have functional brake lights on your car at the moment ?

Here is what I would do to track this down. I have no clue what kind of 911 you own because you do not say.

Use this link and open up the PDF for your model year and find the appropriate brake part in the file. Type that number into Pelicans search engine and see what comes up.

If you cannot find a pic on PP then load the part number into Google and search away.

Find a pic and then see if the original had two spade connectors.

Sorry guys - I have a very messed about with 1974.

Pic from the Porsche schematics doesn't show the number of pins. Our Host catalog indicates that for a non-boosted car the brake light switch should be on the pedal cluster (part # 911-613-411-01-OEM).

My brake lights do function as is.

I believe that switch you see in the MC is for the brake warning light in the dash and has nothing to do with your brake lights.

If you plug it in, start the car, and step on the brakes, you may find the light in the fasten seat belts/brake cluster will come on (with handbrake off of course).

The PO may have disconnected it to avoid seeing the light, reminding him that either that pressure differential switch it is supposed to be plugged into is bad, or that the MC is going.

Get this looked into before you do a lot of driving

brake warning light only. wrong switch anyway for the two wires. some folks just disconnect them because the light won't stop flashing or the relay keeps clicking when there's nothing wrong with the brakes. 914s too
