Just, wow. That is gorgeous. Can't understand the slant nose haters.

The survivors were all made better looking, IMO, by 17" wheels. That red car (above) is just right. The less additional body mods, the better, again IMO. I always the thought the 914 Chalon kits were cool.

Seeing those old magazines reminds me how familiar we all were with the companies which advertised; the stereo shops, MG Mitten, ADCO sway bars et al. That's even where the infamous Motor Scheister got their name out into the world.

Wow blast from the past!
Yes the 17's really change the look. Put my money where my mouth is a few years ago on the slant, love these cars! Real slant? I hate that question. Mine is a pre option code 505 Euro dealership conversion. I consider the 505 cars "official" but the dealer converted cars just as real. Dealers used to offer a lot of cool stuff that they don't do today.

Mine is a clone that was done in the 80s. I love the look but, it's time to put it back to a 71T. I will be making into a 71RSR with a hot 2.8

I built my own slant nose using the Golden Coachworks kit in 1990. Did all my own welding and bodywork. I re-engineered the Mazda headlight mechanism linkage to eliminate headlight shake which really bothered me after doing the conversion. Of course my "77 turbo is not worth nearly as much due to the many changes I have made. But it is sure fun to drive.
