dog hair removal - ugh

my carjacking deterrent system leaves a lot of drooly windows and dog hair. windows are easy. anyone have a great way to remove dog hair from a black interior. more than a few rides and the interior looks like a black okra. then i spend hours vaccumming & running duct tape rolled around my hand over the carpet. there has to be a better way.

tried to post in cleaning/detailing but its dead there.

Same problem here. I have yet to find a better way. Duct tape seems to be the best bet. I end up picking some of the more stubborn hairs out by hand.

I use a "sticky roller" from Ikea. It's a plastic handle with a roll of sticky tape (kinda like a toilet roll). Every time you've used it, peel of the sticky layer and use it again.
I will try to post a pic. It works like duct tape, but it is way more easy.
I think I've paid 3$ for the gadget.

OK guys, I own a car wash and detail shop and my recommendation is to visit your local shop. They have special tools that help take out almost 100% of dog and cat hair. Good luck.

My daily driver has black carpetting in the rear hatch which looks like it has a coat of fur anytime I get done taking my Lab anywhere. I've tried many different options (some discussed above) and have found with very little effort, but fantastic results that using a "Furminator" is the best. I spent hours over a weekend trying to clean my car using a sticky roll and shop vac. Then I used a sticky roll and lint brush. Then a couple weeks ago, I grabbed the furminator, and within a few minutes made such great progress that I didn't bother with any of the other tools. Works great on the dog too. When he sees me with it, he drops to the floor and rolls over.

I've had the same problem for years, tried everything from lint rollers, duct tape to products designed for fur removal. What I've found works best I discovered by accident while wearing a pair of green garden gloves while doing the wheels. I noticed they kept getting covered with fur and ended up trying them on the interior. Works great although you still might need to touch up with tape/ roller. Similar to this, but the cheap latex dipped at HD/ Lowes work just as well.

The concours trick is close to the green gloves. (but it might scare your manhood...)

Those yellow Playtex Living Gloves. The rubber grips the hair so it pulls the hair out of the weave of the fabric. Just brush the surface with your hands. Very quick and efficient but don't let your car buddies see you doing it!

Haha I can't imagine a concours guy letting my dogs within 10 ft of their cars...maybe we have more in common than I ever realized!
