Newbie questions on idle adjustment for Motronic
Jump the pins with the car off? Ignition on but not running? Or car running?
It doesn't look like alligator clips to jumper the pins will work. Would leads from a multimeter work? Other been there, have the post card tips? (does anyone send post cards any more anyway?) Last edited by tdskip; 11-14-2011 at 07:24 AM.. |

If you are taking about the plug in the back while adjusting the idling, yes while running and test lead are fine.
You could make a small jumper to make it easier.

Thanks - did exactly that.
Did the jumper, and got an idle drop but not much. Got the idle down to the correct level via the idle adjustment by adjusting the stop all the way in. So I clearly have a more air leaks to chase... |
