Driving w/o gauges..can it be done
I have just pulled out all the gauges on a 1991 C2 with Triptonics. I am sending them to North Hollywood. Can I drive the car approx. 10 miles without the gauges? Thanks Tom

Don't see why not; as long as car starts. Reminds me though, don't ever start an older Mercedes,(or other car w/ mechanical oil-pressure guage), w/ O.P. guage removed. Squirts oil all over interior. (Ask me how I know).

Wouldnt the alt light need to be connected to allow the alternator to charge? Other than that one cannot think of anything that it would harm but would really make sure that the wires are really insulated to preclude a electrical fire when you turn and the wiring terminals move around.

Hello,
A rennlist regular just passing through .... If you turn on the ignition with the clock removed, the self-diagnostic test will fail, locking in your airbag light and you will need a "hammer" to reset.
