Bypassed muffler on 964

The prior owner bypassed the second stage muffler on my'93 C2 and I'm thinking that I don't need the sonic assistance. He doesn't have the old muffler. How much is a new one? I looked on Pelican, all they have is stainless steel and I'm looking for something cheaper. Also, how much should it cost for installation.

Thanks,

Jon

Which muffler are you looking for - the long one that goes across the back of the car or the one that looks like a box that is under the right rear fender ??

I have the long one available if you need that one.

The box under the right fender.

Thanks, Tom.

I'd look for a used one first... but as far as installation cost: it should take about 5-10 minutes to remove the right rear wheel, 10-20 minutes for the engine tray (if you haven't already removed it), and about 10-20 minutes to remove/install the muffler. So a shop should charge you 1 hour max. But really - this should only be slightly harder than removing the right rear wheel as the exhaust system comes apart and goes together pretty easy. I'd vote for leaving the shop out of the loop.
