I suggest you seek out / purchase a "Redbook" it will help you answer a bunch of these type of Porsche questions.

In the mid 70s not much. The redbook says that the S was the only US model besides the Turbo (page 42). Bruce Anderson's book states HP at 165.

Further, the redbook
6369001-6369435 were US 48 state Sporto engines. 8/75-7/76 production of 1,576. 6460001-6462305 - US 48 state 'S' models, 2,079 6566001-6561837 -CA 2,175 6569001-6569160 CA Sportos, INCLUDED in the production number above if I read it right....

Depends where your car was sold. If it is a US car the only models were as Job Bob says: 911S was the "standard" US model. According to Ludvigsen the ROW 911 came in three flavors: Turbo, Carrera 3.0 (like the turbo but with higher compression pistons and without the turbo) and the ordinary 911, rated at 165 hp at 5800 rpm. Likely this is what you have. Ludvigsen's description of the 76 ROW 911 sounds very like the US 911S and may be the same engine since they are both rated at the same horsepower. You probably escaped having the smog pump and thermal reactors which were fitted on US cars, at least in California.

If you can get the engine type number, I can trace it further. 911/80 thru 94 is what I'm seeing....
