emergency brake light problems

My brake sensor warning light is coming on from the handbrake. If I push down on the handbrake slightly, the light goes out.

Is the switch bad?
Has anyone had this problem ?
Does anyone have a solution ?

thanks !
Tim

Sounds like the rubber boot is keeping the switch slightly open. Try repositioning the boot so the handle will sit flat.

I had the same problem.

The switch can also be adjusted, and rides in a channel on the brake lever. You should be able to move it down (I think) to set the position required of the lever to trip the light.
