Sunroof vinyl dragging in cavity.

I am in the process of restoring my 82SC and I am having an issue with the vinyl component of the sunroof.
This is a picture of the old one.

As you can see the rear of it is very dirty.

The reason for this is that there is nothing holding it off the sunroof cavity, so it just drags itself across the dusty cavity resulting in a very dirty piece of vinyl.

Is it missing a component?

Thanks in advance.

Andrew-

Do you have a pics of the sunroof with the headliner removed - that would help determine if all the hardware is installed correctly with nothing missing or broken?

This helped me to take apart the sunroof assembly then repair the roof liner.

Thanks for the replies guys,

These are two pictures of the sunroof. I have started re-covering it.

You can see some scratches on the sunroof itself. I have the part illustrated below as well.

Tquaglino's link is very good - thanks for that. It's an exellent tute but I can't find my answer there. He doesn't seem to have any components that I do not.

Thanks again.
