flywheel choices

My question is, if removing the DME and all components related to EFI and ignition from a 1986 Carrera, what flywheel would be best used as a replacement.

Brad

search works... but very hard to get through

Flywheel

If you don't need triggering a late 3.0 FW will fit with the 3 bolt pilot brg, for that matter an early will fit with the press in pilot, but it boils down to what gear box, what style clutch, and street or track.

So any flywheel with same bolt pattern should work with a 915 tranny. Good to know - thanks

any 3.0 or early 3.2 pre G50 will fit the 9 bolt crank and a 915, the 240 mm turbo will not fit a 915 but it will fit the crank.

Yes, I'm using an SC flywheel also - has worked fine for years. Check it over - runout, burn spots, etc.

There are lots of light wt. options too if that is what you want.
