993 Targa rims on a 3.2 Carrera?

Anyone have a pic of these 993 Targa rims on a Carrera? Kind of a modified Cup/three piece look. Looked through older posts but didn't see this particular rim.

There's a set available locally and it's kind of an interesting rim, albeit one with what appears to be 50/55mm offsets.

No pics on a car but a word of caution for you-

You will need to run rather large spacers to correct the offsets. About 1 inch front, 2 to 3 inch in the rear along with longer wheel studs or adapters with the studs installed.

Yeah, without having looked into it, I reckoned the spacers would be pretty good sized. Thanks though.

Jim, I've run Cup IIs on my old 84. F/R both had 55mm offsets.

you would need 1.25 front and 1.5 rear spacers for that set up, not a big deal, just added a little weight.

I looked at those wheels for my 73 for track use but they were just way too modern, even just for the track. If you have a Targa, they'd probably look better than on a coupe.

Do you have a good side pic of your car you can post?

Not the exact wheels. Saw this one in the parking lot at work recently.

IMO, large offset wheels look out of place on t-bar 911's. And, as noted, you have to deal with spacers.

Save the dished wheels!

PS-look again, that is only 1 wheel on that auction. 993 Targa wheels bring top dollar these days.

I linked to a pic on Ebay for ease of reference; the actual rims I'm looking at are not on Ebay, but advertised locally instead. I can get the set of four for what the Ebay seller is asking for a rim and a half. Part of the appeal I suppose since they seem to be a good deal, but if they're not right I wouldn't want to put them on the car, hence the request for a pic.

If I pass on them and if someone with a 993 is interested in these, PM me and I'll send you the link to the sale.

993 Targa wheels are heavy. IMO, there are many better choices.

For $750 a set, they are either a steal or repros.

Fuch wheels are forged and are much much better than a 993 cast wheel.
