Driver seat - who has positioned it further back?

I have a '79, wondering what it takes to be able to position the seat back further than stock allows...is there a means to do so without requiring welding or such? I guess I'm looking for an easy fix - is there one?

This should be a fairly easy fix. I would just make some adapter plates with offset mounting holes for the seat rails that position the entire seat assembly farther aft. I have done this several times when installing aftermarket seats in various cars.

Not a big deal, no welding required. Be sure and use a heavy enough gauge metal to account for the loads incurred (including potential crashes!).

I made some custom adapters for my SC to raise it Recaro Classic C's for me; I looked like the little old "Where's the beef?" lady without them!

Hello - take a look at this link below. I'm guessing that you'd like to do this because you're a taller driver
