How to remove the "Targa" emblem on the rollbar?
As it says above, I need to remove the targa emblem on the right and left side of the rollbar.
Assume that the fasteners are on the inside of the rollbar behind some of the fabric or vinyl? Any tips on getting to it? Thx, Joe

It's a big job. You need to remove the outer rollbar covering (the outer skin that the emblem is attached to) to get to the fasteners.

I haven't done this (yet), but I've read up on it. Based on what I've read, there are two studs on each side of the targa bar that extend into forward part the rear wheel well. They're probably rusted and can easily snap when you go to loosen them. Be careful and use solvent that loosens rusted threads. After that, there's a bunch of screws behind the seal along the top. Once that's apart, it's off.

Are you planning on painting the Targa bar? If so...one of those wire saws.....kinda like an OSS garote will work.

JB,
Was going to paint the roll bar but go back with the stock satin black color. I now have a factory fiberglass hard top and its going to be the body color. The guy helping me was wanting to do the roll bar to make it look as nice as the body color. Joe

Thanks for the tips guys. Jeez the emblem is $63 bux each, so too expensive to just pry off and put new ones on.
