I believe the rant missed converting cars to slant nose... and hanging a tubo tail on a non-turbo ('turbo look' cars excepted) and excessive pimping.

I have no issues with targas - owned a '72 (a real leaker in the rain), and now on a '914 targa'. Love love love targas on sunny warm days. People with issues about targas, well.... have issues. Targa owners with issues about coupe owners, well.... also have issues. People who could care less what model you drive are the people I prefer to hang with since they don't have chips on their shoulders. Just my opinion, I could be wrong. ;)

I couldn't agree more. Certainly no animosity directed at coupes or cabs - I love them all, more the attitude that targas are parts cars for "better ideas" that time may not be kind to. Sometimes it's just good fun to tap into the wisdom of the collective here. No offense intended if that's how it came across. :)

Targa top off driving to Malibu today. 20 miles or so along PCH, Mid 70's what's not to love.
