I am going to sell my Fuchs wheels....

.. I have very little idea of the value. they are 16X6 and 16X7 with no damage. Black centers and semi polished outsides. As far as I know they were removed from my car three months after the original owner ( I am the third owner) bought it, in favor of 16X8 and 16X9 wheels. I have carefully stored them in my attic and I decided I would probably never have a use for them. What say the Pelican brain trust?

I bought a set in very nice condition with all new Khumo ZR rubber for $850 a couple of months ago.
Pictures would help.

6-800 depending on how fast you'd like to be rid of them.

Quality Question

These wheels seem to sell for alot of money.
Is there a value chart. Which ones are more desirable?

Joe Bob 11-26-2011 12:04 AM

Depends....6 inch wheels started going up when they were being used for parts for three piece wheels. Coupler of years ago, 15x4.5s were cheap, now big bucks with VWs.

Supply and demand.

naples911 11-26-2011 04:32 AM

They seem to sell in pairs. $300-$400/pair. Pics are worth a thousand words..good luck.

I'd keep em. Good clean Fuch wheels are becoming rare these days. I think you will regret selling them. Their quality is outstanding and being a forged wheel makes them so much more desirable over the crappy cast wheels that are made today.

If they have had that little usage - they would be great candidates for:

1 - sending to Jim at True Design to turn into 17" fuchs

2 - sell to some concourse q-tip guy.

crustychief 11-26-2011 11:56 AM

They are pretty much concourse quality. Like I said I think the original owner drove it out of the showroom and went with bigger wheel in a matter of months. I will post pics, Then I will post it on the classified section.

Pics of a wheel, they are all in the same condition.

Maybe clean them up a bit. That's not looking quite "concours quality."

They also were also driven quite a bit - they weren't removed when the car was anywhere near new.

You can tell by the fact that they have aftermarket wheel weights on them. And, it looks like they have gone through maybe 2 sets of aftermarket wheel weights, b/c you can see where some were removed. So they've gone through at least 2 sets of tires.

So they probably have 25-40K miles done on them.

I agree. No way you can get more than $800 for those.
