1976 value range?
Looking at a 1976 911S w sunroof and original Fuchs. 225,000 miles, about 80k on rebuild. California rust free shows its age and miles. Two owners, last sense 1999.
No AC. Has typical updates like chain tensioners, exhaust. Parts to smog included. Yellow, drivers seat shot. I am not up on these. About what price range would we think? She is asking about $7k. Might use as a club time trial car. Thank you in advance. ;) |
Sound pretty good to me. I pad $6000.00 for my 1976 911S and had to put an engine in it.

If you are going to go for a mid year....at least get a 74 or 5.....smog exempt in CA.
Also, they came with thermal reactors which cooked the 2.7. |
Get a good ppi. The 2.7 can be expensive to repair pulled head studs.

Thank you all.
I am a long time Porsche nut and am very familure of the positive and negitives. Just not up on prices. It kind of seems like there are not that many air cooled 911's out there these days and the prices seem to be firming up. Also seems like there day is somwhat passing as a DE tool. I love them but I am suspecting the local PCA club is probably being taken over by Boxster's and Cayman's. The best. |
I'm thinking Joe Bob makes a good point. Look for that 74-75

try searchtempest for craigslist, I found my '78 that way and talked them down to $6600 for it.
It needed work but only has 81,000 miles on it. The cars are out there. I saw a nice '73 for 10K in Montana a while ago. It'd be in my garage if I had room! |
