76s engine blower removal - facts please

hi guys ,
I want to remove the blower in the engine bay , i have googled the threads with mixed answers. so facts please

- when removed the foot blower doesn't work - yes / no
- the car will still run correctly yes /no
- i plan to leave the heat exchanges on until later should i block off the ports in the engine bay - yes / no
- should i block off the vent plate on the fan housing - yes / no
- will the car run hotter or would it effect the cooling with the vent on the fan blocked ?

Thanks in advance

Yes fotblower will work just cold air.
Yes car se no differense.
Yes block off (I made a block off from i pice plastic (seeling)and cloth (strength)directly on the engine feed pipe with a big hose clamp, hade it like this for one year no problems exept the lack of heat)
Theoretically the car will run cooler(all air the engine fan suckes in will flow through engine).

Here in Sweden its cold (snow 3-5 months) so i backdated heating system like pre 74.
+ some pounds deleted from the rear
- Heat is rpm related (no problem for me)

Bestt regards Stefan

The exhaust will run hotter with no air flowing through the shroud over the pipes. Also you will have no warm air for the defroster to the windshield.

Mine is all removed and absolutely no issues! I find the oil temp to be slightly lower now - even in the hot weather. I removed mine at the beginning of the summer - no A/C either. I took her out for a run yesterday - stil 8 C here in Toronto. It was cool but I enjoyed the run as the sun was shining bright!
