Ques. about installing Elephant Racing oil lines
I am in the process of installing these lines on a car (1974 911) that never had hard lines so I have three simple questions.
Is the factory thermostat held in place only by the oil lines themselves, as in no mounting bracket? I have seen some pictures that use the rubber bushings around the lines at the three mounting spots under the car and I have seen several without, both methods are evident on the Elephant Website, which is the recommended way? When attaching the lines to the body in the lower portion of the wheel well, right after the 90 degree turn should I use one clamp or two? I see it both ways. It looks like there is already a built in nut available for one, probably from the antenna. Thanks.

I prefer two. I use one screw holding two adel clamps. The screw is between them like a butterfly.

Thanks for quick reply Chuck; are you drilling a new hole for the two clamps? The one that is there looks like it wouldn't work for a butterfly installation.

Yes, a new hole is drilled.
