What do original wheel weights for Fuchs wheels look like?

And where can i buy them? I'd need them for 16" wheels. I found an old ad for 1960's wheel weights but I don't know if they're the same. I found part listings at a dealership website for 928 part numbers but I have a feeling they're different.

if anyone has a source, and especially if they have a picture of them, I'd be grateful.

Thanks!

Doug

This begs the question: Why would you need period correct wheel weights (1960s) for a 16" wheel (Fuchs I assume)?

2nd question: Are there period-correct wheel weights for alloy wheels? I'm only aware of the rectangular/squarish lead weights attached with double-sided contact tape.

To " beg the question" does not mean what you think it does.

Sorry. I misinterpreted his question. I guess he's looking for period correct wheel weights for a 16" wheel (not 60's wheel). I suppose concours events check those too.

I work at a dealership which has (among others) a 1400 mile 89 slantnose cab and a 7000 mile 89 slantnose targa. We've sold a 540 mile slantnose cab and many other low mile cars, nearly all of which have had new tires installed before we got them. So yes, concours stuff. I'm looking for properly shaped and marked weights for those cars.

OK then for concours did you make sure the tyre and wheel dots line up correctly! What a Fuch king nightmare! btw do you replace all the other aged rubber? Do the judges look at sway bar bushings etc?

Wheel weights, refinishing Fuchs question

...and I'm allowed to get fairly stupid with the cars we have. There's a '79SC here with 14k original miles that's a four-time Parade preservation award winner. The washer fluid cap is yellowed slightly, so I ordered one from Pelican. Turns out Porsche superceded it to a 965 part number (yes really) and it's identical except it has four little nearly imperceptible dots on it instead of two. I didn't change the cap.

For the curious check out R&H|MotorCarGroup.com. It's not a bad place for a gearhead to work...
