Need help in identifying this seat

Parting out a 66' 912. I need any or all information regarding the driver bucket seat as shown. Was this an option for the early 911/912? What is the correct model or name of such seat? Is there any value to it? Who would be a known seat restorer if one decides to have it refurbished. Thank you in advance for any information.

Bob

It's black, and in need of repair. Has it gone missing? It should be easy to hunt down...

Looks like an early recaro sport bucket with a bad recovering job. I'd ask over on the early S board.
Tony at autobahn could probably help you out, as well.

+1 early Recaro. Bad recover. Offered as a factory option/accessory, as well as aftermarket. No Recaro emblem on the backrest of factory seats. Don't know how to tell if yours is factory or aftermarket. Maybe others do. A very desirable and valuable seat. Wish it was mine. You will have plenty of interest if you choose to sell it. Tony at Autobahn and Stefan at GTS can restore it.

Thanks for all the inputs so far. It seems to be drumming up alot of interest thru PM's I have been receiving. I do not believe it has been recovered since the rest of the interior including the headliner has the same material. I know I have seen a similar thread posted about 2 years ago showing the same bucket seat but could no longer find it.

This is how the interior looked and notice how the headliner is of same material with the seat insert and the bolsters are of a different grain.

The seat is definitely the early Recaro built sport seat, complete with bracket= Bravo! But it has been reupholstered quite differently from stock, as has the rest of that interior.
The "pedestal" style seat was upgraded in 1970 to a safer design on the base. The seat like yours was known to break out the mounting corners of the bottom.
