Quick question on PMO carb linkage
Got a set of PMO's, the cross bar is offset on one side, other side is "straight" with linkage rod. I think this is correct do to the offset of the carbs / ports position, just double checking before i send parts out to be re-plated.
Thanks in advance, this forum is cool beans. ![]() |

I doubt the lateral arm is twisted as it appears. If you support the tube on a flat surface so that it is parallel to that surface and check the heights of the 8mm balls then the balls should be equidistant from the same flat surface. See how the Weber equivalent is supported and checked for this alignment. It is easy to twist the lateral arm either before or after plating, the zinc coating will not flake off.
The work bench isn't flat but a glass coffee table top or a table saw top are. Support using items of known equal height: I used 3/4" hex nuts; the pictured feeler gauge isn't needed but is shown to demonstrate the point; just twist the lateral arm until it is just touching the hex like the other side is. ![]()

Paul,
Thanks for the input, the linkage is definitely tweaked quite a bit. Also noticed the balls on my part are located on the inside, not outside as in your picture, guess this is why the part may have bent in the first place. Thanks again, btw, nice website. John |
