SC Heater/defroster illumination
 

I have searched and can't find a clear answer. In my 83 SC in regards to the heater panel - how many bulbs/lights are there? What light is on all the time and what comes on when a lever is moved? Any help or pics would be great.

3. the fan one only comes on when fan is on.

I only have 2 areas that can be lit - the large FAN on the upper left and the Def on the lower right. Other than that, I have the triangles and script in white that is solid. My fan light comes on whenever I put the headlights on and the def illuminates when I turn the top lever over to fan speed. Where does the third bulb go?

you can see the bulb holders if you look under the dash and can feel them with your fingers. the bulb holders out easily but you need nimble fingers. there are 2 on the left one on top the other and one on the right.

On my 3.2, there are 4 bulbs. the upper right corner "fan" will turn on when the lever is past the first speed indicator, on extreme left to max free flowing air without fan the fan remains off.

The other 3 will stay on when headlight/running lights are used.
