What is the part and what does it do?
I am removing everything from my dash as the 911 is being prepped to get a full cage put in and when I was removing the radio there was this silver box with some wires coming out of it that I had to remove. I was just wondering if anyone knew what this thing does, can I remove it? I just put it back for now and never unplugged it since I have no clue what it is and can't find out any info.
Here is a pic of the part in question http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g1...ull/image4.jpg http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g1...ull/image5.jpg |
That looks like a factory item to me. What year 911?
|
That looks like the ECU for the cruise control.

It is factory, It goes into the factory loom and the wires trace to behind the pedals.
the 911 is an 87 |
