Removing warning noise sensor...BRAKE SENSOR SWITCH?
ok, so about 6 months ago i removed the warning buzzer relay, it had grown a mind of its own and started going off for no reason all the time.
about 2 months after that i switched to a rennline dash, and removed the dash seatbelt / brake light... i have been removing alot of extra non used wiring harness in the car and this is the last one for me to remove i have about 80% of this harness out and realized it is connected into the master cylinder. Brake Light Switches questions- 1. what is the function of brake light switch? to just warn of low pressure? 2. will removing these affect anything else? 3. is removing this harness totally stupid? i guess since i removed the relay and warning light months ago, it was not effective anyway right? |
umm if i read correctly this controls the rear tail lights? i guess i wont be removing it:eek:
sorry for being stupid, my last two cars had sensors on the brake pedal that controlled the rear lights... |
so what year is it? add that to your signature so we know. the wires to the dash warning light come from the brake light switches if you have a power brake car. you can remove them. leave the other wires on the switch.

I have seen a post recently where the switches were removed from the MC and a microswitch installed to send a signal to the brake lights. Might be an option for you.
