Hershey Swap Meet Update

Just wanted to submit another post to get an update on those going to the Hershey Swap Meet. Below is the list from the last posting.

For those going, don't forget to get your Pelican T-shirt. I am also going to print some color copies of the Logo to place in the window of the P-cars for everyone going. Will also have copies of the trip layout to give to everyone.

Sean sent me a e-mail and said he could possibly provide us with a few radios so we would be able to keep in touch with each other while driving.

I will have a pretty good assortment of tools with me, including extra belts, red relay, jump start battery/air comprssor. Just about everything you will need in case you have to disassemble the top end of your engine should you have a problem (NOT)

Looking forward to the trip, should be fun. Also, anybody who wants to join in along the way, or at Hershey can get in touch by calling me on my Cell Phone. Send me an e-mail and I will give you the number. Need an update and will do one more last post the day before the trip.

Does this list include the contingient coming from New York? We should try to meet up with them as well, although it always seems difficult to meet up with people at a large event like this.

Also: I think it would be easier to spot each other if we all wear red Speedo's instead of Pelican T-shirts. -- Curt

Of course I had planned to come...now I have to back out.. : (

I have to drop the lady off at her bridal shower....a secret of course, she thought she was coming to Hershey with me, but since I have to drop her off at 11:30 2 hours away, I will miss out once again.....oh well. Someone (me) has to pick her up and bring her home, I guess!

The wife and I decided to leave the minivan at home and travel in style. We figure if I buy anything too big to fit in the back of the 911 I can always ship it home. So,...

can you let me know what the estimated time you think you'll be hitting the intersection of Rt 81 and Rt 66 in Virginia will be on Friday?

Since that is only an hour from me I'd like to try and hook up with the caravan if possible b/c it will just be too cool to travel with 10+ 911's.

If the connection won't work then I'll be traveling N on 83 out of Baltimore.

Hello all,

I'm 99.9% in. I may only be able to hang around for a couple of hours before I head back. I've got plans saturday night, and if I break them, then I'm in the doghouse. Anyhow, really looking more forward to the drive with the others. Hope to see a load of you there.

I am going with a friend of mine. I have not ventured to far from New England, so just getting there will be interesting. I would like to know if you guys could direct me to a decent hotel. I would like to call and make reservations soon, like tonight or tommorow.

Good luck BigB, I made mine weeks ago and found very little left. I actually had a friend help me, he used expedia.com (sp??) to get a reservation in a sold out hotel; I'd go that route.
