Gauge need touchup

I'm pulling my gauges apart to replace the bulbs and try to improve the lighting. While out, I was hoping to touchup the needles -- half is very faded. I've read other posts which said you can't paint because it will change the needle's weight and gauge will read wrong.

Anyone come up with a fix that works well, besides sending out for a rebuild?

Here's a link to a company that sells gauge needle restoration paint.
