spindle o ring question

Ok...so I am replacing wheel bearings (front) and I have the 0 rings associated with the front spindles . question is if I didn't have any O rings on there when I removed the front hubs....

where do the new O rings go ? Do I need them at all .?

Are you calling seals "O" rings?

I am however this is what the wizard showed when I purchased the wheel bearings from our host

The O ring goes behind the inner wheel seal collar and the base of the spindle. If you are not removing that collar, then don't worry about using the O rings
