whats the value of a 85 911
A friend of mine is looking to purchase a 1985 911 3.2, whats the value, 80 thousand miles, fair records, 17" wheels updated sway bars-shocks-brakes -rotors, set up for auto-x, lowered, the paint is fair but not perfect, the usual paint chips on the hood stuff, hard top sunroof, new clutch, rebuilt sunroof, half leather interior in really great shape, i cant find my excellence mag that had the average values, Let me know your thoughts, Kevin

Pretty low mileage, so it has the potential to be worth slightly more than average.
I'd say between 17 & 20k, depending on what the car currently needs (or will need in the near future). E.g., how much life left on tires, how many miles to next major service (w/ valve adjust), extras, etc. Another factor is where the car is located and its color combination. In SoCal and if it is brown/brown it would probably be at the low end if not lower.

For reference, I bought mine for 21K back on 12/00. Mine had 71K, all stock but it had been lowered. It was a one-owner car with good records. It is in excellent shape, (CA car) guards red, black leather. I put on 2 new tires, they weren't horrible, but I wanted new ones before I took it to Sear's Point for a driving class. With the economy being worse now then back then, I'd say you could most likely bargain & get a better deal.
