convertible top woes

Hey ya'll. Some may remember the little incident I had the other day with my top coming unlatched on the freeway and flying back. Well I got it back on and latched pretty good. I modified the latches a little by adding washers and shaving some metal off of the hooks so now they latch alot better.
The canvas top is new and its been down all summer, so now it has the terrible wrinkles in it. Is there a trick to getting the canvas to lay down and stretch properly? It still needs some adjusting to tighten up the back window but the wrinkles are very ugly.

Two thoughts.
1./ Wet thoroughly and then expose to sunlight stretching out wrinlkles as it dries.
2./ If you have a steam cleaner for catpets etc. I believe that would do the trick also.
Happy New Year!
Dave.

the canvas will work the wrinkles out in time. Just another "wrinkle" when you have a cab (pun intended).

...And more to the point of the obvious...Don't leave your cab top in the down position for the summer. Good rule of thumb is to raise the top when finished for the day.

Thanks guys, I read in some other forums that a steam iron will work also. I'll give it a try.
